Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 points in an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics coach. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships which she finished 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she won. In her very first international competition in 1972, she won the event with three gold medals. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. It was the first time she participated as an older senior. The year was 1976 when she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female ever to remove the bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey into the realm of entertainment started in her teens. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment when she was in her teens. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
